It was only the third longest lasting storm on record behind Hurricane Ginger in 1971, and the San Ciricao Hurricane of 1899 that impacted Puerto Rico, and lasted for 33 days before going through the Azores as a Category One Hurricane, and became extratropical shortly afterward.
