The Narconon program takes, on average, four to six months to complete. Between the extensive treatment Narcononfers, and the individual study involved, the time it takes to complete the program varies from student to student. Not everyone's problems can be solved in 28 days, and as a general rule here, it takes as long as it takes. At Narconon we do not believe that curing addiction is possible by simply exchanging one addiction for another.

Undergraduate degree programs offered at American Heritage University have been designed to allow students to begin studies within a semester and proceed at their own pace. Students are required to complete a minimum of two courses per session, and must complete their program of study within five years from the date of enrollment, unless the Registrar’s Office has issued an extension. The postgraduate degree programs must be completed within four years from the date of registration.

The programs are ideal for individuals who wish to acquire clinical skills but who are looking for a part time requirements including successful completion of the Basic Counselling Skills course. There is no time limit to the CJAA degree program. The CJAA degree continues whether an officer chooses to come on campus or take courses online or a combination.

The program is self-paced. It contains 36 weeks (4-day weeks) of lesson plans. These can be spread out over several years if you wish. Here are some examples:

Commencing with the date of the first course registration, all requirements for the degree must be met within seven calendar years. Courses can be no more than 7 years old at the time of graduation.
