What kind of rough opening size do I need for a prehung door?

AutumnWOOD FAQ's :: Handcrafted Doors & Furniture
For all prehung units we REQUIRE that you provide us with your rough opening size. We will build the unit to fit the rough opening size that is provided. If this is for new construction, we normally add 2" to the height of the door and a total of 2" to the width of the door for a rough opening. This allows for the thickness of the jamb and leaves an extra 1/2? in width and height to square the unit.

For example: you need to dry 500,000 board feet of oak per year. Fresh off the saw, oak takes about 28-30 days to dry, so you’ll be able to do 12 loads in a year.
