Whatever race suits your fancy. As the levels increase equipment effects swamp racial attributes, you couldn't tell a well-equipped ratonga from a well-equipped high elf, unless of course you had a sense of smell and / or a snootiness detector. Of course it will, for goodness' sake. Dirges make everyone better.

There are many divergent opinions. Ultimately, it is up to you, and don't let someone else bully you into playing something you don't want to play! I would recommend playing a grey-aura scout or a grey-aura priest if you're new to SK. Playing a scout allows you some independence and the ability to explore the huge outdoor world, as well as pick up pets and herbs to help you along the way. Playing a priest is a great way to get quickly enmeshed in the politics and goings-on of SK.

Agility: this line focuses on abilities which improve attacks and firepower, as well as a group stealth Wisdom: this line focuses on group talents; aggro control, runspeed, casting speed, and critical hits. To answer this question you have to ask yourself what is important to you. Dirges are the best of the scout subclasses; actually, dirges are simply the best thing going. Ask anyone. No, not the troubs, they're prejudiced. Like all scouts, dirges have the ability to be sneaky, safe fall, evac, and disarm chests.

This is mostly a matter of personal taste. Each race has pros and cons and the "best" race depends on individual play style. Pros: Good starting wisdom. Good faction with all "light" cities. Smallest experience penalty. Cons: Poor night vision but this is quickly overcome by spells. "Cookie cutter" race due to commonality. Pros: Natural Regen helps reduce downtime for all levels and helps when cannibalizing after level 24. Has 1 AC bonus per level.

You will play the race that you start out with all the way to 60, choose the one you think looks the coolest or fulfills any RP reasons you might have. That being said, Undead has Cannibalism (regen 35% of your health over 10 seconds) which does wonders with lifetap (not to mention Will of the Forsaken to break fear) and would be my choice. For the alliance, the gnome is the way to go.

All race specific techs give different advantages. The game is designed to be balanced so that one race doesn't have a significant advantage over another. The general "trend" is that Cyborg have greater production capacity, Human have higher energy and science production, and Bionic have the possibility of highest efficiency over time.

There is no set best or worst time to use the CDs. You'll need to experiment to see when the best time is for you.
