The ASA conference is open to the general public, not just ASA members. The conference audience is comprised of four categories: individuals with autism, families of individuals with autism, autism service professionals and physicians.

Online conferences are conducted entirely over the Internet. Presenters and attendees participate directly from their computers through a secure website that includes a variety of collaboration, communication and learning tools. Like traditional face-to-face events, online conferences provide access to presentations by leading experts, networking opportunities, and a variety of resources including white papers, articles, tools and templates, reference lists and other information.

Registration forms are now online. There is a link called Registration at the bottom of the conference home page. Click on that link, and it will take you to the registration forms. Early registration (least expensive) will extend until January 31, 2007. Regular registration will be February 1 - June 30, 2007. Beginning July 1, you will need to register on site at the conference. To register for childcare, download, print, and send in the Childcare Registration Form.

Depending on the services/departments used by the conference participants will largely depend on how soon a bill is processed. Once we receive all departmental correspondence, bills are generated. The Student Recreation Center is made available to conference participants during normal operating hours for a nominal fee. This privilege includes the basketball courts, walking tracks (indoor and outdoor), racquetball and handball courts, aerobic areas, and a pool.

Answer 1: No. To encourage open communication, presentations at this meeting are regarded as private communications from the individuals making the contributions and are not for public use. Presenters are encouraged to voluntarily publicize their own work if they so choose. Answer 2: Yes. A conference call is a telephone call in which more than two people take part. Technology today means that the total number of people who can take part in a single conference call can be very large - as many as 10,000 people can attend the same conference call from all parts of the world. Conference calls typically replace face to face meetings for groups of people, typically between 5 and 10 in number.
