Overall GPA is the GPA derived from all courses taken, regardless of institution. Many graduate programs use this GPA. FIU does not maintain this GPA. Admission GPA is a special GPA available on the Student Academic Support System(SASS) audit for students not fully admitted to the college. This GPA must be a 2.25 for admission to the college of Business Administration. Third- and fourth-year business courses are not used to calculate this GPA. Future employers may request Major GPA.

A Only one of your GPAs must be over a "3.5" to be considered eligible to apply. Make sure that you include your Major GPA on your application. A To be eligible for a scholarship, you must at least be a high school senior. Students that attend a university later than the traditional age are eligible to apply. Birth date is not a consideration on evaluating. A We would like you to use a teacher as your evaluator if possible.

Your FSU GPA includes only the classes that you have taken at FSU. Your overall or cumulative GPA includes FSU courses and classes that you may have taken at other institutions, including dual enrollment. Remember, some majors use your overall/cumulative GPA for admission acceptance. A scholastic average minimum of a B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or better is required for the last 60 semester units or 90 quarter units of undergraduate study. Applicants should keep in mind, however, that the average GPA for entering students is approximately 3.5.

For undergraduate students, all studio grades are classified as design or major GPA. To find out the design GPA or major GPA, please see an advisor.

There is not a minimum GPA requirement. Our average for the class of 2008 was 3.4. Students who are admitted with a GPA below a 3.0 are admitted on a probationary status and must maintain a 3.0 or higher in the fall semester in order to continue with the program.

The Graduate Council requires a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or foreign equivalent. The minimum GPA is 2.7 out of a possible 4.0 on undergraduate coursework or a 3.0 on a 4-point scale for any graduate work. Other conditions may apply. Refer to the Graduate Catalog for additional information. For international student admission, the minimum GPA is a B average on all academic coursework. A Foreign undergraduate degree must be equivalent to a 4-year U.

We do not take the GPA into consideration. With many different scales being used throughout the country, plus the inability to claim that a GPA means the same thing from one school to another, there is no solid measure upon which it can be determined what a “good GPA” might be.

Entering students normally are expected to have completed the B.S. degree requirements with at least a 3.0 grade-point average in all coursework taken in the junior and senior years of undergraduate study. Students entering the Ph.D. program are expected to have completed the requirements for the master's degree with at least a 3.25 grade-point average, and to have demonstrated creative ability. Admission to the UCLA Electrical Engineering Department is quite competitive.

Students can look on their final grade report and look for CALCULATED credit. This is the number used to divide the number of GRADE POINTS determined by the grade you received and the number of credits earned. To determine what your GPA is in your major coursework, you can request an unofficial transcript from the Registrar's Office and pull out the courses listed on your POE.

You need to be aware of a sobering reality: admission to a health professions school is a highly competitive process. This means, of course, that these schools will draw candidates from the high end of the GPA range. Consider these statistics. The most common GPA for applicants admitted to medical schools nationwide, for example, is 3.75. At Upstate Medical University, the median overall GPA for accepted applicants is around 3.65 (3.57 for the science GPA).

Institutional subscriptions are designed for central human resources offices, affirmative action offices and provosts offices, any office that advertises positions across a single campus. Unit subscriptions are designed for academic and administrative units within an institution. For example, a college of business within a larger institution would be eligible to purchase a unit subscription, as would a development office or any other administrative office.

Institutional memberships are open only to higher educational institutions and related offices.

While the MPP program has no specific course or major requirements for admission, applicants are strongly recommended to have at least one undergraduate class in statistics, micro-economics, calculus or other quantitative courses.

Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. Applicants between 2.75 and 3.0 may be considered for provisional admittance. This is dependent on the institution where the student received their degree.

In general, UC considers a grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher to be a minimum competitive score for acceptance into the MS-Marketing program. Once accepted into the MS-Marketing program, students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 to prevent being placed on academic probation.
