When assessing the GMAT score, we take into account the background of the applicant. Because of the enormous diversity in the class, we expect variation in GMAT scores, and never view the GMAT in isolation. It is one of many criteria we use to assess applicants: a high GMAT score does not guarantee admission, and a low score does not necessarily eliminate an applicant.

A revised version of the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language ), the TOEFL-iBT, will include a new test to measure speaking proficiency. International graduate students must receive a minimum overall score of 80 on the TOEFL iBT to be eligible for admission to UCI. Pseudocatalase, also called Pcat for short, is a cream, that is applied twice a day, and purported to reduce epidermal hydrogen peroxide in vitiliginous skin, found to be in higher levels in those with vitiligo. Pseudocatalase is usually done in combination with narrow band UVB light therapy. Pseudocatalase does not make the skin more sun sensitive. The original formula is only available from Germany. When should I apply? The deadline for fall admission is May 15, but we start admitting students early in February. Applications that are received after we have started the admission process have a reduced chance of admission because there will be fewer open positions remaining. Students who wish to transfer from a Master's to a Doctoral program must have completed one year of study in the Master's program with a First Class average in 18 credits, of which at least ten credits must be at the 500 level or above and at least ten credits must be at First Class standing.
