If you do not wish to use PunkBuster any longer, you may remove the entire "System/pb" folder inside your game folder. By removing this folder, the PunkBuster software will no longer be available. PunkBuster does not save information to other locations of your hard drive, nor does it change your system registry.

Click the item "Add/Remove Programs", then select "CD to MP3 Ripper" from the list and click the "Remove" button to uninstall it.

On the game's Multiplayer screen you will see a PunkBuster checkbox near the bottom, under the list of servers. This checkbox is used to Enable and Disable the PunkBuster client. Alternatively, you can use a text editor to edit the pbclient.con file in the "mods/bf1942/settings" folder and change/enter the line: "game.clientPunkBuster 1" (to enable) or "game.clientPunkBuster 0" (to disable).

This will take effect the next time you load Generations, but not before then. Bear in mind that you do not NEED to disable the punkbuster client to connect to a server that is not running punkbuster. Modem users might want to disable it before connecting to non-PB servers so the occasional "security validation" doesn't result in a lag frag for someone else... These control the Q3 lightning gun, Q1 shaft, and Earth flamer thrower, in order.

I just installed WinCue v1.40 and it's using 30%-60% of my CPU! This sucks, version 1.35 was much cooler.
