Nature's Soap Dish, Inc.
Glycerin is a natural Humectant which attracts moisture to the skin. Glycerin soaps are known to be gentle. moisturizing and softening. However, not all glycerin soaps are the same. Most products available on the market today contain detergents and preservatives, along with various other chemicals used to improve clarity and increase lathering. Frequently Asked Questions about Handcrafted Soap
My Glycerin Soap is made from a base, commonly referred to as "Melt and Pour," among soap crafters. I use an all vegetable oil base to which I add fragrance oils (some people are allergic to fragrance oils), mica and/or liquid colorants, and/or non-toxic soap paint. My All Natural Soap is handmade by me using various oils, butters, water, lye, botanicals, and essential oils. This soap is 100% all natural. See similar questions...

Why does my glycerin soap look wet, or have sweat beads on it?

Frequently Asked Questions about Handcrafted Soap
Because I use an all natural soap base to make the glycerin bath bars, they contain a lot of glycerin. Glycerin is a humectant, it attracts moisture from the air, pulling the moisture to the soap. It may not be attractive, but it shows that the soap is high in glycerin! The soap is still perfectly good to use, just make sure you place it on a well draining soap dish between uses. Aromatherapy, Oils FAQs: Body & Bath Plus
Most definitely! Regular store-bought milled soaps remove their glycerin by adding salt to their batch. With glycerin removed the end result is a soap that dries your skin! In the commercial manufacturing process the glycerin is withdrawn and the soap is treated with synthetic perfumes and colors. Our soaps are cold processed to maximize the benefits of the natural qualities of essential oils, herbs, base oils, botanical and natural enrichers. See similar questions...

EPD FAQ (Enzyme Potentiated Desensitization FAQ)
Food grade Glycerin and water is used by some EPD patients as a source of sustenance if foods are stopped for the EPD shot day or for the critical three days. Some food sensitive people find that all food avoidance around the shot will enhance the desensitization of foods. Doctors don't often recommend total food avoidance but may suggest only some of the foods described for the critical three days. Glycerin may be a supplemental item if needed during this time. What is Glycerin?

FAQ
Glycerin is a humectant. A humectant draws moisture from the air and holds it in suspension on your skin. One molecule of glycerin is created for every three molecules of soap which means that handcrafted soap is 25% glycerin! It is no wonder, given the expense of glycerin, that the big boys take this out of their soap and put it in their lotions. They can sell it to you twice that way. Those big companies are pretty smart. See similar questions...

Can I use these stamps on glycerin (melt & pour) soap base?

Soap Stamps by Soap Impressions: Frequently Asked Questions
Melt & Pour soap can get very hard and may be more difficult to stamp than cold (or hot) process soaps. To make sure that you can still easily stamp your M&P soaps, take them out of the molds as soon as possible and stamp them while the soap is still somewhat soft. You may have to use just a few more taps with a mallet to get a good image stamped on the soap. If you are not going to be able to stamp your soaps soon after unmolding them, try adding just a bit of distilled water (1-2 oz. See similar questions...

Frequently asked questions about our hand made natural and g...
No. With the exception of the short-lived 100% glycerin soaps, all your commercial soap producers extract the glycerin in the manufacture process and sell it as a byproduct to the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or other industries. Then they'll add an emollient or vitamin E or whatever and say theirs' is enriched. They would have been better off if they'd just left the glycerin in the soap. See similar questions...

Why do you use vegetarian glycerin in the products?

FAQ
Vegetarian glycerin has been clinically tested on thousands of consumers and has been proven to be a highly active antimicrobial. The vegetarian glycerin actually enhances the action and allows the herbs to remain in contact with the gum surface for a much longer time period. Commercial toothpastes have from 1,500 up to 10,000 parts per million fluoride.
