A super buddy is an existing user on BitWise who has a desire to meet new people and welcome new users. Whenever a user signs up for an account, they have the option of having three random super buddies appear on their contact list. Being a super buddy is strictly optional, and you can change your preference at any time (through the Online Preferences on the website).

No, because these programs require downloading, and WebTV terminals can't download software. That said, some people are recommending Freetown's IMN and Hot Messenger (I personally haven't used these and can't vouch for them). There are 2 ways to add people as a buddy under "my buddies" on your "my fatsecret" page. First, you can invite new people to join fatsecret. If they sign-up through the invite link you send them, they will automatically be added as one of your buddies. Second, you can add any member you see on fatsecret to your buddies list. From the member page of the person you would like to add as your buddy, just click on "add to my buddies" found under "my fatsecret buddies" in the top right hand box.
