What does 'The program file's part number does not match with your system' mean?

BIOS FAQ
The file name of Award BIOS binary files is usually derived from the BIOS serial number. Because one file name resemble another, a customer may inadvertently use the wrong binary file when updating the system BIOS with the Award flash utility. Active Manuka Honey is used for Acid Reflux, Heartburn, Stom...
The UMF number (e.g. UMF10+) is a standard way of describing the bacteria-destroying power of the product. The honey is put in a plate with a bacterial culture, and the area is measured where the bacterial growth is stopped. this area is compared to a similar area produced by a solution of phenol and water. The number refers to the percentage of phenol in the water. So UMF 10 is honey that has the same bacteria-killing power as 10% phenol. See similar questions...

I have a bill with a '*' before or after the serial number. What does that mean?

Where's George? ® 2.2 Frequently Asked Questions
The star after the serial number is a replacement note that was issued to take the place of a defective note that was discovered. Using the * ('asterisk'=SHIFT-8) key will get it into the system. Since it's too cost-prohibitive to re-issue the same serial number, it's easier to print up a bunch of star notes and then use them to fill the stack once the defects are pulled out. Most star notes don't command a premium unless they are uncirculated, and/or have a real interesting serial number. See similar questions...

These are functions on the critical path - i.e. if you want to reduce the amount of RAM used for arguments and locals, you can ignore those functions NOT marked with a star, because they do not influence the total. The main difference between mnib and tools like Star Commander is that mnib reads out the low level information off a disk, whereas Star Commander reads out the high level data. What does it mean to have an X% match?

OkCupid.com: Frequently Asked Questions
If you and a person P are an X% match, that means that we are 99.0% sure you match at least X% of each other's desires. Huh? Once again, here's the FAAAQ. The important thing to notice is that unlike most "matching" services, we don't give high matches off the bat -- this is because we don't know enough information. A strong match means two things: (1) we have a LOT of information about both of you and your desires, and (2) it all lines up. Back to Top See similar questions...
