No. Your GRE score is only one part of your application. The Chicago School looks at your GRE score in each area to see where it ranks among the nation (percentile).

There is no minimum score required. However, admission to the program is very competitive, so we encourage you to do your very best. Both the General and Subject GRE are required for admission to the MBT program. You can take the Subject test in a relevant subject of your choice. Both computer-based and paper-based scores are accepted.

The GRE is required ONLY if an applicant’s cumulative undergraduate GPA is less than 3.0. The required score on the GRE is 1000 or better (verbal and quantitative sections combined). Here at the University of Southern California we do a comprehensive review of all applications. We do not use a formula or have minimum test score and GPA requirements for admission to USC. When should I apply? The deadline for fall admission is May 15, but we start admitting students early in February. Applications that are received after we have started the admission process have a reduced chance of admission because there will be fewer open positions remaining. The Department does not have a minimum GRE score requirement. The GRE is just one part of the overall application that is reviewed by faculty. It would not be the sole criteria for admission or denial. The faculty evaluates it as an indication of how applicants score on a "registered" exam.

We have no minimum score. On average, admitted students have a combined score of 1300 to 1400 on the verbal and quantitative sections and an average score of 4.5 to 5 on the analytical writing section. GRE scores are valid for five years after the test date.
