Each site is given 5000 MB (5 gigs) bandwidth per month. This is really 5 times more that what many monthly fee (paid) hosting companies allocate you. In terms of how much is 5 gigs, it is really plenty even if your site receives a large amount of traffic. We will inform you if your site traffic starts to slow down your server. We will always write you first and will never automatically charge extra.

GB (gigabyte) of traffic allowance should be adequate for most websites. Based on an average page size of 50KB, 50GB is equivalent to 1,00,000 page views. If you feel that 1GB is not enough, you can consider subscribing to the other hosting plan which includes 20GB of monthly traffic allowance.

Account traffic is the total amount of data served by your web server to your website viewers. We have imposed a limit of 20GB (=20000 MB) of monthly traffic for each account which is equal to 1,00,000 page views based on a 50kb page size.

Each time someone views one of your web pages the HTML, images, flash movies etc have to be transmitted from the web server to the client's web browser. This is what we mean by bandwidth usage. Bandwidth is not an unlimited resource so we must allocate our clients a certain amount they can use each month. Even our smallest package includes up to 700MB of data transfer / month which is enough for many thousands of visitors.

When you set up a new ticker, select the option that allows us to automatically bill you if you go over the limit. It is only US9.95 per Gb, or, if you've already set the ticker up give our technical department a call and we can alter your payment options. If your site is particularly busy then give us a call and we can discuss a different hosting arrangement.
