Outlook Express removes suspicious attachment files by default to avoid opening a virus. To remove this option, do the following: Click the Security Tab, uncheck the option box Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus. The problem is due to the default setting on some mail clients that support authentication on the outgoing (SMTP) mail server.

Set-up a new account in Outlook Express, and use the following details: POP Server: mail.domain.com , SMTP serer: mail.domain.com , username: email@address.com and password: the password you specified when creating the account.

Select "POP3" from the pull-down menu as your server type. Then enter "popo.ctimail.com*" or "pop1.ctimail.com*" as your incoming mail server and "smtpo.ctimail.com" as your outgoing mail server. The Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail check box is selected, this option manages your e-mail by: Reducing the number of junk e-mail messages that you receive.
