Teacher's Guides are available for i-Science textbooks. The Teacher's Guide has a section for each chapter that is a reproduction of the textbook. Teaching material follows the textbook section. Teaching material includes a scheme of work, background information and teaching instructions. If you are buying the Teacher's Guide, it may not be necessary to buy the Textbook. We do not carry the posters or the CD-ROMs referred to in the Teachers' Guides.
Teacher's Guide for 1st grade is available. However, there are teaching points at the bottom of the textbook pages for parents and teachers, so it is not necessary to get the teacher's guide. The teacher's guide is more cost effective for school use. The teacher's guide, however, does correlate the workbook with the textbook and has some extension activities.
MPH Science textbook Teacher's Edition has occasional teaching hints and suggested answers to discussion questions. Other than these hints, the textbook Teacher's Edition is identical to the textbook. It is not essential to have the textbook Teacher's Edition. Alternatively, you can use the textbook Teacher's Edition instead of the textbook.

The best teachers are the Spirits themselves! It is said that a prospective student can go bare ass naked into the wilderness and after a long period in solitude, can return a full fledged Sorcerer. The Spirits can teach you all that you will need to know. In fact, in many Haitian Voodoun Societies, the initiate is left alone in the Houmfort (temple) for a long time, usually a week or more, and the Spirits instruct him/her in their mysteries.
I have never seen a cockroach glow under black light however other pests in more tropical or desert regions, the scorpions, do glow fluorescently. Scorpions are well known for this behavior. Their generally soft cuticle has fluorescent compounds. There is a famous picture on the cover of Science of a fluorescent scorpion. I once took a walk in the evening desert outside Albuquerque NM with a portable black light.

Instructors are addressed as "Sensei". Sensei is a Japanese title of respect (sort of like "Sir" or "Mister"). It means "teacher" and is literally translated as "before birth" which infers that the instructor is someone older than yourself. In this case we are speaking of "karate age". In other words, an instructor is someone who has more karate experience than yourself.
