It does appear to be conditional on concentration. Not all cars perform the same with the same ratio of acetone-to-fuel. So far, reports have varied quite a bit, from high increased mileage (25% highest reported so far), to no noticeable change, to slight drops in mileage in one case. A majority who have tried it and reported have seen a modest increase in mileage (between 2 and 10%).

In some applications we have seen an increase of over two miles to the gallon. In order to get the maximum efficiency out of your EFI system, we recommend you dyno tune.

Make sure you are using a fresh air filter. You may consider getting an oil-wetted filter from TRD or AMSOIL. They are very efficient, reusable after cleaning and re-oiling, and somewhat expensive. They are free-flowing compared with efficient paper filters and you can clean them as often as you like. I clean mine every 10k. The TRD filter is oil-wetted cotton and the AMSOIL filter is oil-wetted double layered plastic open cell foam.

In your car, you will want to have a way to keep the drips and spills from the acetone from getting onto other things. You could have a small box, for example, lined with plastic on the inside, to hold your acetone container upright in the trunk of your car. But remember, the acetone is not contained by cheap plastics.

Yes, open up the terrain.ini file with wordpad and increase the grip values. Be careful, only increase by 0.05 at a time . . . usually dry roads from 1.05 up to 1.20 is sufficient. Anymore than that will cause wierd effects.

Jara Shaw said his car reported that he was doing a constant fictional speed whilst stationary. Other problem were that the rev counter did not work, the fuel gauge had a lower reading than expected or no reading at all. Another sympton was that the electronic check light was lit but would go out whilst braking. That depends on a lot of different factors. The condition of your car has a lot to do with it. Has it been well maintained and serviced? We have had some makes and models that are the same, but some vehicles do better or worse. For example one V-8 F-150 Ford pickup was only able to achieve a 56% increase in mileage, while another one we installed went from 11 mpg highway to 33 mpg.
