Our caregivers provide individual care with special attention to details. Our Aides assist with activities of daily living such as; bathing, dressing and light housekeeping, while Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses perform skilled care. We also offer companion, escort and nursing services.

Family caregivers provide assistance in accomplishing both Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for 2.3 million elders and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) for 2.2 million elders. Family caregivers may provide ADL assistance to help with bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, transferring/lifting, and toileting. Assistance with IADLs may include help with meal preparation, medication mangement, money management, use of the telephone, and transportation.

Our pool of caregivers are comprised of a diverse group of well trained, experienced, licensed and insured caregivers, all of whom speak English. Every effort is made to maintain a list of highly qualified caregivers who have no disqualifying past criminal records or records of abuse. Caregivers are screened by detailed reference checks and through lists provided by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Caregivers access the Care Receiver Client through the Caregiver Client and login using a user name and password. A Primary Caregiver may define multiple caregivers to the system. A Primary Caregiver can add additional caregivers. Access of caregivers can be restricted based on rules set by a primary caregiver. For example, the primary caregiver may allow a professional in-home care provider to have access to the system, but only at certain times of the day and specific days of the week.

Our support group meets six times per month and has had weekly topics, guest speakers, and healthy cooking classes. We have a dedicated regsitered nurse, program coordinator who can answer questions, or refer you to the doctors. She is an expert because she has had RNY herself! The physicians will personally work with you on your nutrtition, and our personal trainer also meets with you to discuss your nutritional regimen. In January, our new, 6000 sq. ft. office is expected to open.

All facilities provide standard veterinary care as needed to maintain a healthy animal until it is adopted. Most of the facilities also serve as preparation centers. The BLM vaccinates, deworms, and freeze marks all of the wild horses and burros it offers for adoption, while a veterinarian provides all the necessary medical care. The BLM will provide you with a record of the adopted animal’s medical history, including the age of the animal and negative results of a Coggins test.

Answer: If you are local, Dr. Smith will see you at the following intervals- 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, one year, and annually thereafter. Your PCP should see you soon after surgery and then at six month intervals as well. Your PCP helps with things like your blood pressure, diabetes, and things like colds and urinary tract infections, should they arise.

Upon acceptance into the program your practice will immediately be assigned a single point of contact. Your representative will conduct immediate and on-going training utilizing the Internet. This engaging, interactive training session is available to all members of the staff that will be involved in the process at any time. Your representative will pro-actively contact the practice to answer any questions and assist the practice in cost effectively maximizing the program.

Senior Centers have a unique support base in each local community. Federal, state, county, and municipal governments, United Way, foundations, and civic, religious and social groups, along with fundraisers, bond referendums, and participant donations and fees are all options to build and operate senior centers. Gary Cyrus and Judy Smith, the Division's contact persons, can help interested parties think through possible approaches.

Aftercare involves keeping the genitals covered with a vaseline lubricated gauze pad and applying bacitracin for a few days.

Answer: Every girl has their own limits and types of service they can provide. The district provides nurses in each of our buildings. The nurses are available for a wide variety of health needs (e.g. injuries at school, administration of medication, formulation of health plans). Parents should contact the school nurse if their child has special health needs.

The staff has been selected by a rigorous selection process. A trained professional supervisor and experienced adult staff are responsible for the well being of the young children. The Center has developmentally age appropriate activities, lesson plans and daily schedules.
