To print out a map from the screen right click the mouse and choose the print option from the toolbar.

There are three paper size options: 8 1/2 x 11 landscape; 8 1/2 x 14 landscape; and 11 x 17 landscape). The user can add a title, a subtitle and comments to the print layout. Good question. It seems that printing maps created using the Google Maps API is unreliable at best. Every browser seems to behave a little bit differently, so any "tricks" I include to make it work in, say, Firefox, might cause everything to blow up in Internet Explorer. Mac OS X: The keystroke Command-Shift-3 will save a picture of your entire screen to your Desktop. You can open that picture in a graphics program or just print it as-is using a program like Preview.

These will give you a snap shot of what you see in the map frame. To get a map with more information, In the select property window, there is a link that says "Click here for a printable map". Search by Keyword - search for "Texas", "Arrowsmith", "Geographical", etc. The search is case insensitive. View a much larger page that shows "all maps" or some other large category. As these pages are slow, the previous searches are preferable.

While in the past FRAP may have been able to print maps for delivery, requests can not be filled due to current severe budget constraints. If you do not have access to a printer/plotter, various businesses that specialize in graphics can easily download and plot the map for you at a reasonable cost.

This may happen if your screen resolution is "too large", i.e. the map in your browser is bigger than the size we can put on a sheet of paper. At a resolution of approximately 1024x768 pixel browser and print map are the same. If you are using a larger resolution we have to shrink the map and leave out some details for printout.
