Your supervisor will determine your work schedule. However, to be considered for employment you must be able to work irregular hours and/or shifts, holidays and weekends, overtime, and beyond 8 hours a day, if required.

The Jury Act allows courts to grant temporary deferrals of service on the grounds of "undue hardship or extreme inconvenience." The qualification questionnaire and juror summons provides specific information on how to request a deferral from your individual court. Using the organization default labor schedule is a keying and maintenance shortcut for labor schedules. An organization default labor schedule is defined at the organization level. This eliminates the need for an individual labor schedule to be entered for each employee in the organization. Only the labor schedules that differ from the organization default labor schedule need to be entered for the employee. The organization suspense account is defined at the organization level.

The Organization Default Labor Schedule Account is a labor schedule that should be setup as the "main" account for the organization. As the main account, organizations should select PTAEO combination(s) used to pay the majority of their employees to enter at this level.

Breaks are not provided for shifts less than four hours. Work conditions permitting, student assistants are allowed one paid fifteen-minute break for a continuous four (4) hour work period. Firefighters are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Currently, our department works what is called a 3/4 schedule. This means our firefighters work a 24-hour shift and are then off for 24 hours. Some planning ahead will make your effort in the field more efficient and enjoyable. Figure on making a minimum of five half-day field trips to your square for each of the breeding-bird and winter-bird phases of the project, to achieve the minimum 25-hour goal for each. Allow two or three weeks between field trips to each square, because different species breed and migrate at different times, and breeding for different species is most easily confirmed at different phases of the nesting cycle.

Tournaments last from 4-7 hours, depending on the success of your team. About half of that time is spent actually playing. A typical arrival time is 8:30AM. Most tournaments have two phases ? a period of pool play followed by playoffs. The most common two-court tournament has four teams assigned to each court (pool). Each of these four teams play two games against each of the other three teams, for a total of six games. After this, the teams are ranked 1-4 based on won/loss record.

SMCHS is on a rotating schedule where students are required to take seven classes per semester. Students attend six periods per day (57 minute classes). This allows students to attend each class four times per week at different times. Research indicates that students learn and behave differently during different times of the day. While most faculty, staff, and parents take some time to get used to this schedule, students tend to learn it quickly because they experience it everyday.

The Backup Schedule allows you to perform automatic, unattended backups of specified backup sets. Via the schedules you can specify the time and frequency of backups.

A firefighter’s shift is 24 hours long. His schedule is on a nine-day cycle. For example he is on a shift, off a shift, on a shift, off a shift, on a shift, then off for four days, then the cycle starts over. It all averages out to a 56-hour work week.
