Film speed definitely makes a difference. I recommend no less than 400 ISO. Although anomalies have been captured on 200 ISO I have found that most times anything lower than 400 ISO does not have the ability catch the rapid movement of the electromagnetic anomalies that we encounter. Generally speeds below 400 ISO do not have the ability to capture high speed or high energy anomalies, however that is not to say that it can not be done.

There are several other potential causes for delays that you may wish to check. In addition to your computer's processor and modem speed, factors such as your choice of Internet Service Provider and phone connection may result in slower downloading speeds. In addition, the speed at which the pages load may vary depending on the time of day you access it. Different levels of traffic on the Internet, both at our site and on your Internet Service Provider, may affect loading speed.

The faster or higher the film speed number (ISO 400, 800, 1000, 1600 etc.), the less light is needed to make a photograph. Use high-speed films for shooting sports and night scenes or for taking indoor photographs without a flash. Slow- or lower-numbered film speeds (ISO 100, 64, 50, 25) need much more light for effective results, but provide brighter colors and greater sharpness. Use the slow films for bright, natural landscapes and well-lighted portraits.

It seems to me film school is a good way, or if you can get yourself a job on a movie or in an editing room or some way you can observe people doing it firsthand, that's good too. CinePaint was known unofficially by many names: Gimp16, Film Gimp and Hollywood Gimp. The name was officially changed to CinePaint in March 2003, which may end the confusion. The first release of CinePaint was on the Windows platform because that happened to be released at the time of the name change. That it is Film Gimp 0.16 on some platforms and CinePaint 0.16 for Windows has no special significance beyond timing. Future versions on all platforms will be called CinePaint.

There is what might be described as a "bug" in the Elan. It seems that above about ISO 2500, TTL flash may not work properly. Things seem to be fine with all other EOS bodies (even The Rebels) all the way up to ISO 6400. The behavior of the Elan is not a malfunction in the sense that it cannot be "repaired" either under warranty or in any other way. Not all Elans show this behavior--it seems to be a problem in the design which must be related to some component tollerance.

While the final output of larger images will always demand longer processing times, some preview shortcuts can facilitate the workflow to reach your desired result. When you wish to do a full image render for previewing purposes, set your Res to a lower value such as 1:5. When you render your full image, your result will be pixilated because DOF PRO only processed every fifth line of data.
