Depending on the size of the original document, some of the thumbnails are less than 1% of the size of the original. This extreme condensation of information is difficult to do with perfect clarity. The role of the thumbnail is to help you figure out if a particular map is the one you are looking for.

After upgrading to a more recent version of PHP, it is possible a different MimeMagic.php function is being used to detect file MIME types, particularly the built-in PHP function mime_content_type, which fails to detect PNG files. Search the web for mime_content_type png for information on fixing this bug at the PHP level, possibly by editing your magic.mime file.

Version 3.0.7 of SimEnhancer 3D primarily adds support for the Making Magic expansion. One of the changes in the Making Magic expansion is that the game no longer saves thumbnails into the character data at all. With earlier expansions it would save it into the data but even with Unleashed and Superstar expansions it would only save it under certain circumstances or in some cases not at all. I.E. If your image is not the maximum size for the gallery page your thumbnail may be distorted. This exaggeration is most noticeable in vertical images. If you want to avoid the distortion please make a box in Photoshop that is 447 pixels wide and 350 pixels high that is white. Then save this newly generated file as the file for the registry. This will help ease any distortion that may occur.

There is no limit to the number of albums you can create. It depends on the capacity (space) of your hard disk.

Using Frontpage, it's pretty easy. There's an option under 'Tools' to make the thumbnails automatically. If you don't have Frontpage, you can use a shareware program called Thumbplus to create a web page with thumbnails... like our Joe and Tina picture collection. Thumbplus is a great program to organize all the pictures you have on your computer.

Use clickable thumbnails so that people can pick and choose which thumbnails to click on, thus saving their time and bandwidth.

The black bar on thumbnails allows your file' viewers to see the size and resolution of the image that they are about to see. Many people find this information helpful when deciding to download a full image by clicking on a thumbnail. If you do not want the black bar to appear, go to BTBBT.BIZ's front page and checkmark the box next to the words "remove size/resolution bar from thumbnail?". Any file that you upload from now on will not have the black bar on the thumbnail.
