Traunero Funeral Home - Frequently Asked
A grave liner is simply an unpainted concrete box, or a set of unpainted concrete slabs which, when put together, surround the casket in the grave. It is not intended to demonstrate any sealed protection at all to the casket and the remains. It is merely an outer container which will satisfy most cemetery requirements. A burial vault, by definition, is a sealed container which will afford some protection to the casket.

A grave liner has a single purpose. It is a load bearing container that is designed to support the weight of the earth and help keep the grave from sinking in over time. A vault serves two purposes. It is a load bearing container just like the grave liner, but it has the addition of a sealing mechanism that makes it resistant to the entrance of water found in the soil around the gravesite.

Frequently Asked Tipi Questions (FAQ)
After you have properly pitch your tipi, you have a tent open at the top and all around the bottom. Since the cover is a few inches off the ground, as it should be, a considerable draft is possible making the tipi nothing more than a temporary shelter, not really fit for living in. Winds blow across the bottom of the tipi making the tipi drafty and cold and raindrops run down the poles and soak everything inside.

Liner ponds are less expensive to install, but are much more delicate. They are harder to clean and maintain than concrete ponds, which is one reason why we prefer concrete ponds. Liner ponds are much more likely to be punctured or torn during normal maintenance. One advantage to a liner pond is that they won't crack when it freezes, however that is not much of an issue San Diego. Liner ponds are less likely to be penetrated by roots, but liners need to be protected from the sun.
Frequently Asked Questions - The Ultimate Cary Grant Pages
On November 29, 1986, while performing "An Evening With Cary Grant" in Davenport, Iowa, Cary complained about not feeling well. He was taken to the hospital where he died of a stroke a short time later. Cary was not buried. He was cremated and his ashes were given to his daughter, Jennifer, and his wife, Barbara. I do not know for certain what Jennifer and Barbara did with his ashes, but I have heard that they were scattered in the hills around his Beverly Grove house.
