What is an e-collar?

It produces a weak electrical current between two contact points located on the collar. In the old days this type of collar was used as "shock collar" to scare a dog into submission. In the training method I teach, the e-collar is used in a totally different way and your dog is never "shocked" or abused.
Will the e-collar hurt my dog?

I will also stimulate myself at the maximum level possible on the collar to show you that the e-collar cannot hurt your dog. One common misconception is the e-collar will burn the skin. This is false. Other people think that it is like a stun gun. Again, this is false. I love dogs and would never use the remote collar if it hurt them.
Will my dog always have to wear the e-collar?

You will quickly get to a point were the dog will not need to wear the e-collar at home, but you will want the dog to have it on outside since you never know when you will need to get the dog's attention. The remote training collar is an awesome communication tool and it helps us to keep teaching our dogs new things.
I have a Pug. Is she too small to train with an e-collar?

Most people think that a small dog will be pinned to the floor when they first get the collar on, but they are always surprised to see their little baby running around like it has nothing on.
