A Navy Reservist usually attends training sessions with a Reserve unit one weekend a month. Once a year reservists go on annual training (AT) for about two weeks at either a shore location, with an aviation squadron, or aboard ship.

A couple’s group will meet for two hours per week; a men’s or women’s group will meet for one and a half (1½) hours per week. Group members will invest two (2) hours in preparation for the group meeting. In addition, SF Groups may hold extra social functions, e.g. dinners, lunches, retreats, or sporting events, or serve on a team project together, e.g. missions trips, WEC, etc.

The class will have discussions about where to locate apiaries. You will have to consult your own town laws to find any restrictions, however most towns have several beekeepers. Being a good neighbor is an important subject, and this is covered during the course.

Marching Band is a class (MUS 323-R), and therefore requires enrollment during Fall semester (Sep-Dec). Rehearsals are held each Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, with the color guard members arriving at 3:30 to learn new routines prior to rehearsal with the band. The drumline also holds an additional section rehearsal from 3:00 to 4:00 pm on Friday.

Pep Band is a class (MUS 324-R), and therefore requires enrollment during Winter semester (Jan-Apr). Rehearsals are scheduled during winter semester as part of the Pep Band class, but, generally are held to a minimum due to performance requirements. Attendance is mandatory at ALL home basketball games (usually 10-12 games between November and March), 1-3 pre-game functions, and an occasional out of town game. Unlike Marching Band, performance music is not memorized.
