RHPS consists of basically three parts: the filmed image, the audience participation, and the live action. The cast is one of the major reasons to see the show, and most casts go to great pains and expense to put on a good performance. As Richard O'Brien said, "Three out of three ain't bad."

No. If you have a fracture, we fit you with a splint and then help you find an orthopedist who can apply the cast. We can’t put on splints because our malpractice insurance doesn’t cover us for that.

Many people, largely perceived to be virgins, have taken it upon themselves to bring weird items, such as shaving cream, spaghetti, rocks, Toyota Tercels, etc. While this may be allowed by the theatre, it will unfailingly cause the majority of the crowd to consider the perpetrator (rightly) an idiot. Thinking of a new prop to use is fine; throwing something just for the sake of throwing something is stupid and possibly dangerous. Here is a semi-complete listing of the more popular items.

RHPS was filmed in England primarily on a sound stage and in an old "castle" (which was the site for over 200 horror films, and has since been restored into a hotel). RHPS cast is a bit of plaster or fiberglass placed around a limb that has been broken during a showing. Okay. Bad joke. I apologize.

Originally there was The Rocky Horror Show Computer Game, released by Activision in 1985. Players assume the role of Brad or Janet and roam around the Frankenstein Place trying to find pieces of a machine to save the character not being played. It has a rockin' computerized version of Time Warp as background music. You only get one "life" and it's easy to "die", so the game can get a bit monotonous and frustrating at times. Worth picking up, tho'.

At this time, there are no plans to make a movie based on the Black Jewels Trilogy or any of my other books. (Actually, I wouldn't be the one making the movie. Movie producers and movie studios are the ones who buy the film rights needed to make a book into a movie.)

When the casts come off, the children will initially have a "funny" gait (there may be external rotation and a flat foot appearance). It will take 6-12 weeks for the gait to improve. The parents and doctor will decide together when the child may return to sports/activities.

The doctor will use a small electrical saw to remove the cast. Although it may look and sound scary to your child, the process is actually quick and painless. The saw's blade isn't sharp - it has a dull, round blade that vibrates up and down. The vibration is strong enough to break apart the fiberglass or plaster, but shouldn't hurt your child's skin and may even tickle.

Casts are usually soaked off at the beginning of the appointment in a tub of warm water and vinegar, then cut away with a small blade or scissors when they are soft. Some physicians prefer to use a cast saw.

Yes, we have waterproof casts. The difference between a waterproof and non-waterproof cast is the Gore-Tex lining. All fiberglass is waterproof, but the lining is typically made out of soft cotton-like material. This is not waterproof. The Gore-Tex lining allows the patient to bathe and swim as they usually would. Not all fractures are suited for Gore-Tex. Long-arm and long-leg casts usually don't do well with Gore-Tex because it is hard for the water to drain out of the cast.

The movies are being produced by New Line Cinemas, the studio in charge of the recent Lord of the Rings films. They are being directed by Anand Tucker, from a script by Chris Weitz.

Nothing - or at least as little as possible. Well, lots of black is usually good. As is lingerie. As are fishnets. And too much makeup (especially if you are a guy). Basically, the weirder the better. You'll feel strange leaving the house (or office), but once you get within a hundred yards or so of the theatre, you should fit right in. Extra bonus points are awarded for dressing as a character in the film. This section is, of course, for the people who are part-timers.

Expect to possibly get your clothes wet. Expect to get hit on. Expect to see nudity (or something close to it). Expect to possibly be somewhat offended. Don't be upset if not all of this happens, though - I make no guarantees. For the most part, expect that you'll have a good time. Sure, there's raunchiness, and sure, you might not like the person breathing heavily on you, but for the most part, Rocky-goers have respect for each other, and won't overstep any limits you set.

These days, Web Pages are a dime a dozen. Maybe even a nickel. All you need to make one is have space to put it and know how to write HTML (or just have an HTML Editor). Before you make a page, though, think about whether or not you should. What is your motivation? Will your page offer something different and unique? Or will it just be a bunch of borrowed images and links? Web design, as with anything else, shouldn't be done just for the sake of doing it.

It was originally a musical - (see The Rocky Horror Show - and was made into a movie, with photography starting on October 21, 1974, with great help from Lou Adler, who had been running the RHS in his Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles for some time. Its world premiere was in London on August 14, 1975. Its US premiere was in Hollywood on September 26, 1975. October 31 is generally celebrated as Rocky's "birthday", for obvious reasons.
