It is completely normal for a puppy to have hiccups off and on throughout the day. Hiccups sometimes start after eating a meal, but can occur at any time and last for up to several minutes. A hiccup is defined as a non-controllable spasmodic contraction of the diaphragm, causing a beginning inspiration of air that is suddenly stopped by closure of the glottis. The diaphragm is a muscle that separates the chest from the abdomen. It enables the lungs to bring in air during inspiration.

Puppies need to be trained since they are unfamiliar with the puppy pads. Also, the puppy might be too young. They are best trained starting at 7-8 weeks old.

Most of our babies are reserved well before they are ready to go to new homes – however we do occasionally have an unreserved puppy available. BARF World recommends feeding puppies up to 10 % of their body weight. Therefore, if your pup weighs 10 lbs you should feed 1 lb of food divided between 3 or 4 feedings per day. Growing puppies, especially the large breeds, should be kept lean so adjustments to feeding amounts will have to be monitored closely.

Once payment in full reaches us, we make an appointment for your puppy to see our veterinarian for his/her final checkup. If the puppy must fly home, we will get their health certificate and book a flight to ship the puppy home. We ship puppies twice a month... on the second and fourth Fridays.

This is a question with no easy answer. Most people seem to have their own unique definition of a puppy mill. This is a common problem and though this is somewhat disgusting to us as they then give us kisses. It probably has something to do with the fact that our dog foods are so good today without chemical preservatives that they don't seem to think it matters to recycle. If you sprinkle some meat tenderizer on the food, this should help deter the dog from thinking it tastes good.
