There is now a command-line utility with source code available that allows fast command-line processing of XSLT. Since MSXML is a COM object, you can write any .vbs, .js or other Windows Scripting Host (WSH) file to launch MSXML from the command line. Ken Holman provides a comprehensive treatment of calling MSXML from command-line script to supplement the book "Practical Transformation Using XSLT and XPath".

There is the basic find command which allows you to search one file at a time for string, however findstr is far more versatile. the command outputs only the name of each file in the current folder, which the 'dir /b *.*' component can do all by itself. However, you can edit the "do" portion of the command to perform a secondary task. Example: javaws http://java.sun.com/apps/draw.jnlp However, you cannot pass in arguments for your app on the command line as javaws only takes a single URL as an argument and ignores the rest.
