Aside from the fact that you?re paying for it, showing up for class will give you an immediate advantage in learning what your professors think are important, and what is most likely to show up on those final exams. Class is also where you get the chance to meet new people, form study groups, etc.

Yes. An increasing number of community colleges now offer residence halls and on-campus apartments. This allows students to not only learn in the classroom but also learn from each other in an informal atmosphere. Additionally, many community colleges are nearby privately owned, affordable apartments where students can live and have easy-access to their university.

Studies have shown that for the best results, 2-3 classes a week are recommended. We believe that the difference between a successful martial artist and an unsuccessful one is simply discipline. The student that comes 2-3 times a week each and every week will be healthier, better conditioned, and more proficient than the student that practices 7 days a week. The student that practices 7 days a week will quickly give up, burn out, or become injured.

When a student reaches 18 years of age or receives a high school diploma, the student has the option of transferring the contract to an immediate family member or terminating the contract to obtain a refund paid to the refund designee.

We do not recommend specific colleges. The college must be accredited and those having an active predental advisory committee are preferred. The College of Dentistry provides complete information about admission requirements to predental advisors and to predental students. Counseling is available.

The cost of the flagger class is determined by you. Prices range anywhere from $25 to $150 depending on the location of the class and the costs incurred to hold the class.

You may bring a friend to observe the class once during the course of a semester. Please get permission from the teacher and the administration before inviting a guest.

There are about 100 U.S. colleges and universities that offer a Ph.D. in astronomy and many more that offer other degrees. The American Astronomical Society (AAS) has a career brochure with advice on selecting an appropriate college. (See question #14 in this FAQ for ordering information.) When selecting a college, consider your preference for a small school or a large university and visit the campus before making a final decision.

Any person may attend who is a high school graduate, has passed the State Proficiency Test, obtained a G.E.D., or is 18 years of age or older. Students whose legal residence is outside the state of California or who have not resided in the state for one year and one day prior to the first day of the semester may apply for admission as non-resident students and are subject to non-resident fees. High school students may enroll with written permission from the high school principal or counselor.

This is entirely your choice. Our weekly classes are all drop-in style, so it's not necessary to attend the same classes from week to week. Some students commit themselves to attending the same classes every week, while others just come when it's convenient. We also hold regular workshops and courses for those who prefer a more structured week-to-week course.

Sure. A lot of students have done in the past, and you can come to the yoga class whenever you have a free time. Learning two or three yoga poses is better than learning nothing at all.

Two options are available to you. You can attend an on-campus orientation on December 17, 2007, or complete our new online orientation. If you choose to attend the on-campus orientation, please register and pay for the session prior to December 12th to avoid a late fee. Please remember that if you choose the online orientation you must still see your academic advisor before you can register for classes.

No. IHSS services cannot be used to attend college classes or vocational training. You can, however, use IHSS services to attend training offered or required by your employer. No. Assembly Bill (AB 925) allows you to transfer IHSS hours to the workplace, but it does not increase the number of available hours. The maximum number of hours an individual can qualify for remains at 283 hours per month.

A benefit to attending a US Performing Arts program is the opportunity to "try on" a college experience. Therefore, most our university and college camps are residential programs.
