What's your favorite music format?
It's definitely Active Rock. I do like hard moden rock formats, though, and in some cases....CHR/Rhythmic CHR. It all kinda depends on the specific station. I mean, I've heard plenty of rock stations that, IMO, sound pretty bad. Active rock is really the only format I do a large amount of reading on. My favorite station for several years was WKLQ (94.5 FM) in Grand Rapids, but now it's Banana 101.5 in Flint. Outside of Michigan, 98.9 The Bear in Ft. Wayne is a station I enjoy.
What is your favorite non-music format?
I like newsradio. I listen to WWJ quite a bit, but feel WBBM in Chicago is a better station. I also enjoy listening to the local shows on Sportsradio 1130 WDFN in Detroit, particularly Stoney & Wojo. At one time, I also liked conservative talk radio a lot. Now, that's gotten a little old, but I tune into Michael Savage occasionally. I'm a fan of Howard Stern, too, but I don't listen to him nearly as much as I used to. He's still the best in my book.
