The laparoscopic herniorrhaphy generally takes an hour or two to perform, and most patient are able to return home within 48 hours of the surgery.

We can imagine a bathtub. When we put the rubber stopper at the outlet and fill it with water, the water pressure pushes the stopper in place and keeps it fixed there. The more the water, the firmer is the stopper. Now, if we were to put the stopper from the outside. Then the water pressure in the tub is going to push the stopper out as the pressure increases. This is Pascal's law. The same scenario can be imagined with placing a mesh on the hole where the hernia is.

A hernia, an abnormal bulging of the internal organs, can develop in many areas of the body, but it often develops in the intestine.

The majority of hiatal hernias can be repaired successfully with a laparoscopy. However, if the patient has had prior upper abdominal operations, than the surgeon may be unable to see the anatomy clearly with the laparoscope. It may be difficult, to repair an extremely large hiatal hernia using the laparoscopic technique. In these situation it may be necessary to convert the laparoscopic procedure into open.

Today surgical techniques are available that cause much less pain and discomfort than ever before. Fortunately, hernias and weakened LES are conditions that can be treated with this new technology. In fact, use of these new techniques has been so successful with hernia repairs, that most persons are only out of work for 7 to 10 days and are eating and functioning normally in three weeks. During the surgery, you will be given an anesthetic to insure you have no discomfort.

Some doctors believe a hiatal hernia may weaken the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) and cause reflux. Hiatal hernia occurs when the upper part of the stomach moves up into the chest through a small opening in the diaphragm (diaphragmatic hiatus). The diaphragm is the muscle separating the stomach from the chest. Recent studies show that the opening in the diaphragm acts as an additional sphincter around the lower end of the esophagus.

Laparoscopic gastric bypass results in a shorter hospital stay, less pain, less scarring, and a quicker return to usual activities. Complications such as wound infections and wound hernias are nearly eliminated with the laparoscopic approach. The risk for serious complications (such as leak) is similar with both laparoscopic and open gastric bypass.

You should allow approximately 3-4 weeks for your shear or dryer to be returned to you. During this time, most stylists generally will use a set of backup shears or a second dryer. Typically, it will take between 60-120 days. The amount of time it takes depends greatly on the credit report in question and the steps required to address every different situation.

a general rule, we strive for a 14 business day turn-a-round from the date you approve repair cost. Please note that seasonal influences can alter this timing. Emergency 72-hour service or other special situations can be accommodated for a reasonable additional charge.

If we repair one or more of our tools at the factory, we will issue the same warranty as one on a brand-new tool! We will advise you of the parts prices, if needed, and service charge (if repaired). Once okayed for repair, it will be fixed in two days and returned to you by UPS. If you choose not to have the tool repaired, you can request that it be sent back to you at no charge.
