The tires and steel barrier is the best to make the track run safely and efficiently. The steel of the barrier matches up with the steel bumper of the go-kart and makes a durable, low friction system that allows drivers to stay in control. The energy of an impact is transferred to the mass of the steel rail moving horizontally over a distance as the tires compress.

This is a matter of personal preference. The retriever reel is probably the most popular reel. It has no drag, no button to push, and rarely tears up. The disadvantage to is that it's slower to get fish in and many times the line falls out and gets tangled in things. You'll need less power to propel a bicycle than you will to push a gokart along -- simply because a bike has lower rolling resistance and weight than a kart. If you want an exciting ride then you'll probably want around 100lbs of thrust on a kart and maybe 30-50lbs on a bike. The bare minimum for a kart would be about 20lbs (assuming you're running on a nice smooth surface such as concrete) and you'd probably trickle along quite nicely with 10-15lbs on a bike.
