When the middle classes began to realize how much money the upper classes spent on tulip bulbs they sensed a fool-proof get rich quick opportunity. All one had to do to become rich was to plant and wait. The buying and selling of a product as invisible as un-sprouted flowers came to be called the "wind trade.

I love speaking to groups both large and small, local and nationwide, Christian and secular. With a background in standup comedy, I present humorous but encouraging talks on a variety of topics. Most of my talks are given to women's church groups, civic clubs, libraries, book stores, and writers conferences and clubs.

Being a 'Guest' offers people a way to experience i-church for up to three months, to see whether they would like to join in a more permanent and committed way. As a 'Guest' you can use nearly all the facilities of i-church. There may be some small groups who feel the need to remain closed to 'Guests' because of their group dynamic or because of a project they are working on. 'Guest' access ends automatically after three months unless you decide to become a member.

Walls are barriers, sometimes barriers to keep people/weather/intruders out. Walls keep us safe. That's good. We want our gatherings to be safe places. Safe for children. Safe for people to open their souls and not have them contaminated. But we don't want there to be any barriers to keep people out. Ever. We want our faith, our love, our desire to make a difference. To be "uncontained"...to spill out into neighbourhoods, businesses, schools, wherever we go.

an independent Baptist church, we are not affiliated with any particular Baptist denomination or ruling body. Because of this independence we can support our own missionaries, select our own leaders and support institutions that believe as we believe. In short, our church answers to the headship of Jesus Christ rather than a denominational body. There are currently more than 10,000 independent Baptist churches in America and thousands more throughout the world.

The Bible says quite clearly that a person must have the Holy Spirit to be saved. For example, "…Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his" (Romans 8:9), and "…Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God" (John 3:5). As we have said before "these signs shall follow them that believe …they shall speak in new tongues" (Mark 16:15-20).

It may be true, but it is totally irrelevant now. Plead not guilty and go to court. In court, don't complain that you were being victimized; the judge does not want to nor have time to listen to a claim that is nearly impossible to prove. If the officer shows up in court, cross-examine him by asking questions in such a way as to make it appear he had no idea which vehicle caused the reading on the radar gun.

He uses "icebreakers" when needed to get your guests up and moving!
