In another of a long line of Design Decisions I Regret, xv tries to do all sorts of clever things with regard to the image window's position on screen. For example, if you issue the Max Size command, xv will position the window so that the window's contents exactly fill the screen (and the titlebar, frame, etc. are off the edges). You have probably set up this desk to not allow non-button programs to run. To allow all helpfiles, list winhelp.exe (the Windows help program) as an Allowed Application by filename, so WinU allows it to run. To allow just certain helpfiles to run, use the Access tab's lenient setting instead of strict, and list the window titles of the allowed helpfiles instead of the filename of the help program itself. A: You'll notice that the hardbox around things like houses just doesn't do the job. Hardboxes have to be rectangular, and things like houses are too complex for this to work. There are at least three methods to "fill in" the hardness around a house. It's probably best to set its hardness type to 1 (not hard) and totally draw the hardness yourself as explained below. When you click on the "View Picture" icon your Image Viewer opens and you'll see the picture you attached to the entry. The first time you view a picture associated to an entry the Image Viewer window will probably be much too large, overlay the screen and all your entries. I suggest re-sizing the Image Viewer window so that it fits in the lower left hand corner of the program's screen. This area is blank on your screen. This way you can see both the picture and entry. If the contents of the LimeWire window are completely white or gray, then there is an incompatibility with your graphics settings and Java's ability to render the LimeWire window. Try setting your graphics settings to factory default and/or reduce your refresh rate. If this does not work, others have had success by either upgrading their graphics drivers, rolling them back to a previous version, or disabling any hardware-driven graphics functions such as anti-aliasing. The screen size is dictated by the room size. Normally it is the room’s height that forces a reduction in the full screen size of 18feet x 10feet, that’s around 5.5m x 3m if you prefer decimal. Make the screen resolution as high as you can while still being able to read the texts in the site comfortably. In Windows: Right click on your desktop, choose Properties, and Settings tab. If you have a screen resolution of 1024x768, make it higher -- up to a resolution of 1152x864 or more. Prior to GLUT 3.7, you can generate a full-screen window using a call to glutFullScreen(void). With GLUT 3.7 and later, a more flexible interface was added. With glutGameModeString(), an application can specify a desired full-screen width and height, as well as the pixel depth and refresh rate. You specify it with an ASCII character string of the form [width]x[height]:[depth]@[hertz]. An application can use this mode if it's available with a call to glutEnterGameMode(void). Go into the Device Manager and remove all items listed under "Display Adapters". To remove an item in Windows XP and Windows 2000, select the item, click the Action menu, choose Uninstall. To remove an item in Windows 98 and Windows ME, select the item and click Remove. If the installation asks you for the drivers, point the installation to drivers.
