The majority of our t-shirts our made from 100% cotton that is NOT pre-shrunk. If the item is manufactured with pre-shrunk cotton, it will be noted in the product description. Like most clothing made from 100% cotton, the item will experience normal shrinkage when washed for the first time.

Yes, you can wash our fabrics at home. Rayon is basically a synthetic silk. It is not like the rayon of years past. It is made with wood which is a natural fiber. It is a breathable fabric and can be treated similarly to cotton. For best results wash our garments in cold water and hang to dry. Shrinkage should be minimal if proper washing instructions are followed. We do not recommend using a dryer or dry cleaner, as this will cause the fabrics to shrink.

Adding vinegar to the rinse cycle on a regular basis will help keep new residues from forming, but an existing, heavy residue deposit often requires more aggressive treatment to fully rid the clothing of it. Soak the affected articles in a large sink full of warm water with a cup of white vinegar and a small amount of liquid detergent for at least an hour. Then launder as usual using a liquid detergent, or using a powdered detergent that you know doesn't give you any residue problems.

It is perfectly safe for baby clothes and sensitive baby skin. Nappies can be soaked over night with the balls or in the Stain Remover if heavily soiled. The mineral pellets change the water molecules to soften the clothes and change the water acidity to more alkaline (bacterial doesn't grow in alkaline conditions).

Yes, we frequently have access to washing machines on tour in New Zealand and Australia in lodges and hotels. Camping trips are more difficult and it is advisable to bring easy-wash clothes that can by rinsed out by hand and dried overnight. Bring soap powder or soap and a few pegs for camping trips. In the Pacific the same situation applies.

Washers and dryers are located on the lower floors of all Residence Halls. Facilities are also located in each group of apartments. These facilities are available to residential students free of cost.

For all sessions except U/14 we provide complete camouflage outfits at no additional cost. Most of our wardrobe are US woodlands coveralls, however there are significant quantities of auscam pants, auscam long sleeve tops, some auscam t-shirts and also army greens. There are even some exotic camouflage patterns available such as British jungle pattern. All the clothes used are professionally cleaned each time they have been worn.

Yes, all of our laundry detergents (liquid, powder and delicate) are safe to wash your baby's clothes with. Our detergents do not contain any unnecessary ingredients, such as perfumes, dyes, enzymes or color brighteners, which could cause skin irritation or erode the fire retardant protection on your baby's clothing. And the actual detergent ingredients contained in our laundry products are generally less irritating than the detergents ingredients contained in other brands.

Because you are only bringing one suitcase and will be traveling for up to 14 days, you may need to do some laundry. Most hotels have a washing machine or two. You will probably not want to be doing laundry while others are having fun so plan ahead and keep your laundry up to date.

Yes you can! Soak the nuts, while in their cotton bag, in a little hot water a few minutes to release the saponin (the soap in Soapods) then add the water more water to your hand washing. Or you use the Cleaning Liquid you can make from Soapod soap nuts.

Although some hosts do, they are not expected to clean for their students. In Canada, most adult sons and daughters clean their own rooms. Students in homestays are also expected to keep their personal space tidy.
