No. If the program to which you are applying requires test scores, they must have been taken within the past 5 years. Up to nine (9) credit hours may be transferred in; however, this is at the discretion of the department to which you are applying.

The Graduate School requires an official copy of your GRE score from the Educational Testing Service (ETS). ETS does not keep scores that are 5 years old or older. If the ETS cannot send an official copy of your test score, then you will need to retake the GRE.

GRE scores are valid for 5 years. If your score is less than 5 years old, please contact ETS and have them send it to us. If it is more than 5 years old, you will need to retake the test. Both of these questions have the same answer. We can tell prospective students whether or not their scores have arrived, and that is the only information we can release. If you must take the exam in December, scores received after January 1 run the risk of missing important selections committee review meetings.
