One of the limitations of creating a FAT32 partition on Windows 2000 or Windows XP, is that you are limited to 32GB partitions. If you have access to a Windows ME or Windows 98SE computer, it will be possible to create a single partition as big as the drives volume. If you only have access to a Windows 2000 or XP system, you can make multiple 32GB partitions and use FireStore that way. FireStore version 2.2 can directly create a FAT32.

Windows XP can mount and support FAT32 volumes larger than 32 GB, but will not allow you to format a FAT32 volume larger than 32 GB. Yes, you can get larger accounts than 10 GB - and/or you can easily use more than one SOS account. Depending on how you've got your fileserver setup - there are different ways of configuring SOS. For example - you could setup SOS to run on the server itself and just use one large account. You cannot password protect folders larger than 4 GB located on a volume that uses the FAT file system. Reasons? Folder Password Expert saves the folder contents to a locked file. The largest file that can exist on Fat32 (Windows 9x/Me) is 4 GB. To create a file larger than 4 GB, you must use Windows NT/2000/XP with the NTFS file system.
