To retrieve your UMnet e-mail using a program such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape or Eudora you need to specify the incoming and outgoing (SMTP) mail servers. Because of spamming, student does not relay mail for hosts outside of ucr.edu. Unfortunately, pop and imap mail are treated as relayed mail, so student refuses to deliver it.
