Web pages within the Blackboard environment cannot be accessed directly (or indexed by search engines) from outside the Blackboard environment. Viewers must login first. For example, suppose you had a scholarly work that you wanted others to view on the Web. It would not be possible if you placed the work within your Blackboard course. Some, but not all, online courses include live, real-time chat sessions to stimulate discussion and interaction. In most cases, multiple times are scheduled to make them more convenient. The bulk of the course work is done at your own pace, as long as deadlines are met.

Students can access Blackboard through the Entry page at http://blackboard.csi.edu. Students who need assistance with logging in should look at the "Login Information" page before seeking additional help.

It takes 24 hours from the time your enrollment is official for the Blackboard database to be updated. Another reason you may not see all your classes listed is that not all instructors and professors use Blackboard. This may be why you see some but not all your classes listed when you log into Blackboard. The best thing to do if you do not see a class is to ask you instructor or professor if they plan to use Blackboard for the class.
