The seminars are taught by a variety of local business experts from both the public and private sector.

DMA holds various B-to-B and consumer topics for direct and interactive marketers at every level. We offer training across the U.S. from the fundamentals to creative development to interactive marketing to strategic development.

We average 2-3 per semester. Seminars are an excellent opportunity to learn new skills, perfect old ones, and see and hear a different perspective in the martial arts.

The seminars are active for a two-week period.  There is no requirement to be in the course on a specific day or time.  Instead, participants would enter the course as often as possible and should expect to spend about 10 hours of time over the two weeks.  The time will be spent on reading course materials, working on the course project and participating in online discussions with the faculty expert and other participants.

Knoppix does the very best it can to automatically figure out what hardware the PC has & it does this without human intervention. DMA is a feature that speeds up data tranfer on IDE devices such as CDROM drive& HD drives. Some chipsets and/or harddiscs are broken or buggy. Using DMA would cause problems on such systems. If your system works properly with DMA, and you are booting from HD, you can enable it by typing "/sbin/hdparm -c3 -d1 -m16 -k1 /dev/hda" or by editing the "/etc/init.

Plenty! GWIPP and PPSA are sponsoring a series of seminars, this year, on topics ranging from social security reform and health insurance issues to Congressional decision-making and policy advocacy. Some of the best courses are taught at regional book arts centers, such as the Center for Book Arts in New York, New York, the Minnesota Center for Book Arts in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the San Francisco Center for the Book, and others. If you are in England, or want to go there, the Alembic Press has one week and Saturday workshops with the extra added feature that they also have a Bed and Breakfast to accomodate you.

Master classes are offered by the full jury panel. At a time to be scheduled after your jury performance, you will go on stage in front of the full jury along with some jury members as indicated by the Director and a public exchange of suggestions, comments, criticism will take place in a very relaxed manner with the specific goal of trying to make you aware of what can be done to improve the quality of your performance and musical delivery.

Ultra-DMA, also knows as UDMA, Ultra ATA, or Fast ATA-2 , is a further enhancement of the EIDE disk-drive interface, available on the newer G3 Macs and on some PCs (Intel 440TX, LX, BX, and later chipsets; VIA/AMD VPX, VP2/97, AMD-640 chipsets; Promise Ultra33 (FastTrack) controller. Win95 and WinNT require an upgrade to exploit UDMA; Win98 supports it fully). UDMA drives tend to be a lot cheaper that SCSI-3 drives, and are often capable of stutter-free capture and playback of DV data.

DMA (Direct Memory Access) is a system whereby the peripherals on your computer can transfer data to and from memory directly, without going via the CPU. If the picture display is jerky, having DMA enabled significantly improves performance. We strongly recommend that you have DMA enabled when running ShowShifter. Windows disables DMA by default.

We began presenting seminars in 1989 as part of Youth Specialties. In 1994, we formed a separate organization to focus exclusively on helping parents of teens and pre-teens. The PSP starts with a half-day foundational seminar and is followed by seven shorter seminars - one for each Sanity Buster. The final session is one that brings it all together, reinforces the learning and supports next steps.
