This is a special type of NTSC resolution intended for display in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Format is 640x480 "anamorphic" (horizontally compressed) interlaced. The Xbox supports the ID1/WSS code block for TVs that can detect it.

Simple: set your Xbox to "widescreen" mode and insert a supported game (or just look at the Xbox dashboard). If you have a TV that supports it (and which is configured properly) you should see a 16:9 image. If your TV doesn't support it or if it is not configured properly, you'll see an image that looks a bit tall and skinny.

Some games will be displayed in letterbox format on standard 4×3 displays. Game developers can choose to support widescreen and full screen in their games, it’s entirely up to them.

Open ~/.quake4/q4base/Quake4Config.cfg in your favorite editor. Change the variables seta r_aspectRatio "1" to one of 0 for 4:3, 1 for 16:9, or 2 for 16:10. Next change your custom resolution to fit the desired aspect ratio, for instance the lead editor's monitor is 16:10, so he uses: seta r_customHeight "1050" Your game is probably using the wrong library for OpenGL.

A good number of people are under the impression that the WIDESCREEN format is merely designed to create an illusion of the cinematic experience enabled by the placement of black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Viewers will find themselves with a significantly smaller presentation of the film, giving the impression that the black bars on the screen cover up the top and bottom portions of the original image, therefore cheating the viewer for the sake of a cinematic presentation.

The Indiagames Games on Demand service enables you to play games in multiplayer mode, as long as the game contains a multiplayer launch option. To play a game in multiplayer simply select the Multiplayer option in the Main Menu of the game. Go to the game's main page on the Indiagames Games on Demand website and check the system requirements for the game to see what components you are missing. Download and install the necessary program or component and try to launch the game again.

You can handle the textbox's KeyPress event and if you want the keypress to be an overwrite, just select the current character so the keypress will replace it. The attached sample has a derived textbox that has an OverWrite property and a right-click...

You observe any currently played match when you want. C&C3 has a spectator client, all matches are delayed so that players cannot help each other. You can set the delay yourself. More or less the matches can be watched Live, which is an awesome feature. C&C3 will use different ladders, both will be implemented in the game and report automatically a match. You can play quickmatches where you are assigned to a player who is just looking for a game, this ladder will be hosted by GameSpy.

All home games are played at either Beverly Hills Park or El Franco Lee Park. Typically teddy bear teams are played at home but sometimes we partnership with an adjacent club and play games there. Older players play about 1/2 of the games at a home field and the remaining games at other clubs. Normally the travel time is 15 to 20 minutes or less. The farthest clubs are Galveston, Baytown and Crosby but it is unlikely you will travel that far.
