The court uses these numbers to identify your case. These numbers are on your citation, the paperwork the court sent you, and your receipt. Please take care to enter this number correctly when registering, since this is the number that will be printed on your certificate. Failing to enter the correct information can result in your certificate of completion not being processed correctly.

A docket number is a number the Commission has assigned to your case for tracking purposes. Once your case has been identified with a docket number, you should use that number in all future communications with the Commission.

On this page you will see a list of all Dockets that are currently open for comment. There are four columns of information in this list: Docket ID, Title, Release Date and Comment Period Ends. The IRS will assign your case to one of its employees. The IRS employee, who might be an Appeals Officer, a lawyer, or a paralegal, will contact you by letter or telephone to schedule a conference or meeting. The general purpose of the meeting is to try to come to an agreement (settlement) on some or all of the issues in your case. You should participate in any scheduled meetings and bring with you to the meeting all documents that may help you to support your position on the items in question.

The Trenton Office maintains the Civil Dockets from 1981, Criminal Dockets from 1970, Magistrate Case Dockets from 1954, and Miscellaneous Dockets from 1954. Answer: Case numbers are requested through the FHA Connection. Access FHA Connection, go to Single Family Origination, go to Case Processing and then go to Case Number Assignment. A docket number is issued by the Commission when a new filing is made. The first two numbers are created by combining the last two digits of the current year. For example if the filing is a Qwest filing and it is filed on December 1, 2003, the first 2 digits would be 03. The middle numbers are specific company numbers assigned by the Commission. To continue the example, Qwest's number is 049, so thus far we have 03-049.

California Reporter is another series of published volumes including both the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal opinions for California. If you have a citation that refers to Cal.Rptr. or to C.R., the citation search will not pull up that opinion. If you have the case title, try a By Party Name search. If you do not have the case title, you can locate the official cite and case title by doing a Keyword Search for the Cal.Rptr. cite.

Answer: No, you are required to order case numbers through an electronic means. Only under extenuating circumstances will case numbers be given over the phone.

The new format is as follows: The first sequence is the year, followed by a space and then CA, followed by a space and a six (6) digit docket number, followed by a space and then by a capital letter or letters which signifies the "case type" in CourtView (Year, CA, Six Digit Docket Number, Case Type Designation).

The clerk of circuit court for each county is responsible for maintaining a judgment and lien docket for that county. The judgment and lien docket may consist of several sources: (a) In most counties, recent records are maintained electronically by entry into the CCAP case management system. Current filings may be viewed on public access terminals located in the office of the clerk of circuit court. Some clerks also make entries into a paper docket kept in the clerk's office.
