Almost all caterpillars eat plant materials. Most eat leaves, but some eat seeds, seed pods, or flowers. The caterpillar of the Harvester butterfly eats aphids.

BOB: The webs you're seeing on the branch tips appear in mid to late summer, and are actually caused by Fall Webworms. These caterpillars differ from the Eastern Tent Caterpillars you see in the spring, and really love 'Wild Cherry' trees! Webs can be pruned out and destroyed. Yes, they’re alive, but not in the sense that they can hurt your siding. They are dormant, or sleeping, and pose no threat to the siding other than staining it. The spore masses of the artillery fungus stick like super-glue. We have not found a way to get them off without leaving a stain or damaging the siding, especially on old dry siding. There is an oval opening called a 'spiracle' on each side of each segment. These are connected to a tube, the 'trachea.' As the caterpillar moves, air is pumped into the trachea, causing oxygen to be taken in and carbon dioxide to be pushed out. You are talking about very high fat with no proteins in butter vis-?-vis moderate fat with proteins in the cheese. I would think that a flavourful piece of cheese offers a greater level of satisfaction than some butter for which you can have Oleolux [Dr. Budwig's "answer to butter"] as a substitute. When in America, eat like the Americans. The staff generally receives the same food we give to the guests. Sometimes there are minor differences, but it is mostly the same menu. Although this sounds like a healthy snack, it may mean more cavities. Raisins are high in sugar, and when they get stuck in your teeth, there is a much higher incidence of cavity formation.
