Most buses use a front rail where the wheels fit into, with a bar that secures over one of the wheels. Fortunately, the wheelbase on a short wheelbase recumbent (like the Ghost and Amigo) is almost the same as a regular bike, so it should fit fine. Just be sure to secure the bar around the 26" rear wheel, if possible.

Usually, you can. However, be aware that recumbent bicycles are often a bit longer than a regular bike, so the rear wheel and crank may stick out the sides a bit further than usual. For extended rides, you may want to slide in the boom and remove the rear wheel to reduce the length of the bike.

Our most frequently asked question concerns the transporting of bicycles in connection with the buses. Yes, we will transport your bike if you are riding one of the BRAG buses. You will need to remove the pedals and lower and turn the handlebars to get your bike loaded. Please bring appropriate tools to do this. You will load your bike in a BRAG truck and separate the bikes with cardboard which BRAG will furnish. Your bike may not get to the destination as fast as the bus.

If you are comfortable on your current bike, we take 3 measurements off of your current bike and build the bike to those specifications. We have been very successful in providing bikes that fit perfectly using these measurements. The fit is guaranteed, and we will swap stems as you need to get the fit correct. Like learning to climb a hill, you will need to train for a while until you are able to keep up. Don't expect to just hop on and go as fast as you used to, or you'll be disappointed. Rest assured, eventually you'll be able to keep up. And, you'll be a lot more comfortable than they are! It also depends on the type of recumbent you ride. Some models are more comfort-oriented, while others are designed for speed.

This may take some work, but unless your friend is named Lance Armstrong, you'll eventually be able to keep up. It will take a few weeks or months of training to get your muscles in shape, but you can do it. They may pull ahead on uphill climbs, but you will fly past them on the downhill. You'll most likely be able to keep pace with them on flat or rolling land. Also remember that some trikes are better suited for speed than others.

Absolutely! All AATA buses are equipped with bicycle racks that can accommodate two bicycles. The racks are simple to operate, and bikes ride free. Check the Bike the ride section of this site for more information.

Our fairing fits Harley Davidson Road King, Heritage Softail, Softail Deluxe and Fat Boy. Same fairing, the only difference is the brackets used. Keep checking back as we are designing brackets that will fit the Honda VTX 1800 Cruiser, Yamaha Road Star, and Yamaha Roadliner/Stratoliner models by the end of 2007. We DO NOT offer any metric models at this time. We are planning on adding metric models in the near future.

Your arms and wrists are totally relaxed, as they do not support your weight. Your neck and shoulders are relaxed because you're looking straight ahead. The recumbent seat offers full ergonomic back and base support. While riding a recumbent, you should not experience any pain, chafing, or numbness.
