Web-based email lets access your email from any web-connected computer, so you can send and receive email when you're away from your home computer. With web-based email, you will can read and compose mail in your Internet browser, and your messages are stored online - you have 2GB of online storage for in your master account mailbox. In addition to web-based email, you can choose to send and receive email through client email with SBC Yahoo! DSL.

All POP email clients can be used: Netscape mail, Outlook, Eudora, etc. (IMAP programs cannot be used.) Mail settings are in your Welcome letter provided after signup. Use those settings and refer to your specific e-mail client's setup instructions. Click on the Support page to view more information. Well, when talking about sending emails, it is definitely possible with every email-client that can handle SMTP. On the receiving side there are some problems concerning MIME-Capabilities of your email-client as GPGrelay outputs it's messages into the mail as an extra part of the mail; this means, if your email-client is not capable of displaying multiple text-parts, GPGrelay will be a bit annoying.

Any email program that provides the ability to use IMAP instead of POP3 for incoming email will work with the Spam Filter system. Technical Support is available only for Outlook Express. First you need to have a paying account.If you have been set up for outbound faxing, you should have received an instructional email with details on how to send faxes. If you have not received this email or are unsure if outbound is enabled on your account, call us and we can enable your account for outbound at no extra cost. Outbound faxing is included with a paid account, but it is not automatically set up due to problems in the past with fraudulent users and spammers.

For outgoing mail, your mail client should be set to the SMTP server: mail.cse.ucdavis.edu TLS should be enabled and Authenticated SMTP should be enabled, using the same username as for incoming mail.
