For coastal cruising, the simple answer is whatever boat strikes your fancy and satisfies your budget. People who strain their budget to buy expensive boats don't tend to use them that much, because they're busy earning money to keep both their boat and other aspects of their lifestyle afloat. I had a graphic example of this when I visited the ritzy Marina del Rey section of our city (where I work) and the far scummier Long Beach marina.

Fuel injectors can cost a hundred dollars or more a piece, and you may have one for each cylinder. Cleaning them before they are plugged can remove harmful deposits and keep them spraying in top form. After they plug, replacement is sometimes the only option. It is very important to keep the fuel injector clean, The most common form of injector fouling comes from unused gasoline evaporating inside the injector after you turn the car off.

Although roots superchargers have significant parasitic load and do dramatically decrease fuel economy, centrifugal superchargers will yield approximately the same fuel economy as normally aspirated engines, under normal throttle conditions. When racing, however, fuel enconomy will decrease given the supercharged engine's ability to consume additional fuel and produce additional horsepower.

We've found that a single auxiliary injector does not distribute the fuel evenly, which can lead to engine damage. It's a simple way to add fuel, but it's not as safe or effective as we'd like. Replacing an engine is an expensive proposition, and we've had a number of customers come to us with blown engines from fifth injector setups used in other kits.

There are a few equations needed to solve for this problem. I will include them here with an example. Brake Specific Fuel Consumption (BSFC) is the amount of fuel per hour required to make 1hp. BSFC ranges from 0.4-0.6. For blown applications I like to use 0.6 because it errors to the rich side. Pounds of fuel per hour = Brake Horse Power/ BSFC.

Several L.L.Bean salesclerks prefer to use butane cartridge stoves in the summer. Butane is light, clean and requires no pumping or priming to produce an instant flame. You simply plug a cartridge into your stove, turn it on and light it. During the colder months, many use white gas or unleaded fuel. The fuel is inexpensive and produces a lot of heat, which is critical during winter when campers melt snow for drinking water.

All of our supercharger systems require the use of premium fuel. Octane boosters are not required but may improve performance in severely hot climates or under circumstances where a heavy load is placed on the engine for an extended period of time such as racing or towing. In emergency situations, regular gas can be used with the addition of high quality octane boosters for short periods of time.

It is recommended to use pictures of the largest dimensions you can, since you can easily zoom in and out to place dots at precise locations better when there are more details with which to zoom. Keep in mind the aspect ratio of your pictures though. If, for example, one picture is 1000x1000 pixels, but another is 1000x800 pixels, then the second picture may look stretched in order to match the aspect ratio used by the entire timeline.

This depends on the kind of work you want to do. If working in very thick metal, get a pump that is capable of putting a lot of horsepower to the nozzle. Although a smaller pump can machine thick metal, a larger pump will be faster, and therefore more practical. If cutting mostly thin metal, or doing water-only cutting, get a smaller pump. Smaller pumps are often cheaper, cost less to run, are easier to maintain, more reliable, and are quieter. Bigger pumps, however, allow faster cutting.
