fuel pressure regulator (FPR) controls the amount of fuel that goes into the intake manifold via the vacuum line after it passes through the injectors.

If you're using T-Tape, soaker dripline or Aquapore you will need a regulator. Read the individual product descriptions for pressure recommendations. If you're using pressure compensating emitters, Shrubblers® or misters and have normal pressure you may not need a regulator. If you are using sprayers, you may want to use a pressure regulator to bring the water pressure into the rated range of the sprayer, since they will generally put out more water at higher pressures. The most common contaminants found in LP fuel are the oils from the LP pumping facility. The oil is removed from LP fuel at the location where the fuel vaporizes. In liquid withdrawal LP fuel systems, this occurs in the regulator. Oil contaminants can then clog the regulator. Typically, the term "Low-Pressure Regulator" refers to the regulator which reduces the output pressure of the gas source for use in pneumatically or electro-pneumatically operated guns. In very basic terms, the more cylinder pressure we make the more power the engine will produce. But look out for the fuel! Today's pump gas is too volatile and cannot tolerate high compression ratio (above 10.5:1) and high cylinder pressure (above approximately 165 PSI) without risking detonation. A few manufacturers produce so called "adjustable" gauges. These gauges permit the indicator needle to be re-set to the zero point using a conventional jeweler's screwdriver inserted into the air inlet at the base of the gauge. ANSI/AAMI SP10 prohibits the manufacture of any instrument with an adjustable dial except by use of a specialized tool.
