If I drive my car to campus, is there a place for me to park?

A limited number of parking permits are provided, arrangements need to be made prior to the event. Since Vanderbilt is a residential campus, parking spaces are very limited. We will do our best to accommodate your parking needs in specific designated areas. For large groups, buses and vans may park at no additional charge.

If you are driving a different vehicle than the one you have registered with our department, you must notify the office of Safety and Security. By doing this, our Parking Patrol can avoid ticketing the new car, and we can locate you, should the need arise. If your regular car is out of commission, due to mechanical problems, a temporary permit will be issued, once it has been verified that you have purchased a valid permit for the current quarter.

If your property does not have a private drive you will be able to park on the road near to your house. Please be aware that you may not always be able to park directly outside of your property. A small proportion of properties are on streets that require a parking permit. If this is the case it will say 'parking for residences with permit only'' on your 'House Details' page (instructions on how to access the 'House Details' are included in your offer letter).
