A corrupt temporary file can often cause the Disk Cleanup utility to hang. To resolve this problem, try deleting all temporary files on your computer by performing the following steps: Type Ctrl+A or from the Edit menu click Select All to select all the files, press Delete, then click Yes to the confirmation. Select the "Delete all offline content" check box, then click OK. You should now be able to run the Disk Cleanup tool.

With the rapid drop in prices for hard drives and optical media, it costs much less to store documents on an imaging system than with paper. A single page typically occupies around 50KB of disk space if the image is stored in TIFF Group IV. Each gigabyte (GB) of storage space (which costs only a few dollars) will hold approximately 20,000 pages.

The AltME program is only .5 MB, so it is fast to download and takes very little disk space. Each world will also require some disk space, but most worlds rarely use more than 1 MB. We think AltME would be terrific on cell phones, and we hope to add that feature just a soon as possible.

Disk space: GMT contains some 100,000 lines of code. On a Linux workstation the executables take up about 15-50 Mb depending on use of shared libraries. The install program failed to put a shortcut on the desktop. Probably your own shortcut mistakenly directs to the .exe file on the CD drive instead of the harddisk. Redirect the shortcut.

The Disk Cleanup utility frees up space on a volume. To access the utility, open My Computer, right-click the drive you want to work on, click Properties, then select Disk Cleanup from the General tab. If the program hangs the system, the problem is most likely caused by the Disk Cleanup Wizard checking for all files older than 50 days that it can compress. This might still be a useful technique for big projects, but with huge disks going for very low prices, it's no longer necessary for the most part]. As you start to capture and manipulate clips, you will find your disk space vanishing like mist on a summer's dawn. An 11.5GB disk, like the one I bought, can hold less than an hour's worth of video. And if you're doing a lot of effects and transitions, the final video you render will eat up space as well.

When you have taken up all of your allotted space, then all you can do is try and free up some space. If there are files that you don't need anymore you can get rid of, or lesser used files you can burn onto a cd, on one of the 4 burning stations we have in the greatroom. If you know you have free space, and you literally can't save, then try and save somewhere else for the moment like the shared drive. Then try and logoff and log back on, and move the file into your My Documents folder.

Your XP is saved automatically each time you disconnect from the server. If you notice that your XP is not saved, check if you have PunkBuster enabled. PunkBuster is an anti-cheat addon built into Enemy Territory. To enable it, go to the server browser screen and click on the "Enable Punkbuster" button on the lower right corner of the screen.
