Yes, you can move the notify window X pixels to the left and Y pixels to the top. You can customize this by modifying the "X Offset" and "Y Offset" values in (menu) 'Account' → 'Preferences' → 'Advanced' → "Offset the position of the notification pop-up." and clicking "Save" to save your modifications.

The taskbar is the horizontal bar along the bottom of the Desktop. It has the Start button on the left. Displayed in small rectangles near the middle of the taskbar are the programs that are running. Near the right side, you will see the programs or tasks that start automatically when you start Windows. On the far right, you will see the time displayed.

By hiding it from the taskbar does however not mean that it will be removed from the taskmanager list!
