Who is authorized to test a Backflow Prevention Device (BFPD)?

Only a Certified BFPD Tester is allowed to test BFPD. The Utilities Department does not require any specific individual or company to test BFPD; our only requirement is that the tester be certified. We do have a list of Certified Testers available "solely for the convenience of our customers" of individuals and companies providing this service in the County.
